Foreign students participated in the Freindship Meeting

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) of Chonnam National University arranged a meeting for foreign students including exchange students on April 8th. In the meeting, they had dinner together and talked to each other in Korean. Michael Sang Man Kim (Brazil, Dept. Economics) said, “Sometimes I feel alone and it seems like there are not many exchange students at CNU. I hope that there will be a lot of chances to make friends. I think it is good for exchange students to meet each other often and communicate with people who are in the same situation.” Kanda Emiko (Japan, Dept. of Japanese Language and Literature) said, “It will be better if there are some more programs or systems to help foreign students such as Korean host families to meet sometimes. I think the officers in charge of international students are very busy, so selecting a leader among foreign students to contact each other or arrange meetings may be great as well.” Foreign students also went to the Damyang Bamboo Festival to experience local culture on May 1st.
