New Freshmen Orientation Programs

By Heo Si-joon, Tribune Reporter

Chonnam National University organized new orientation programs to provide academic guides for freshmen and to make them be quick to adjust to new surroundings. Each college carried out orientation programs for freshmen around the middle of February. Some colleges introduced special courses for useful orientation: the College of Social Science did the TOEIC Pre-Test for the first time to provide proper English training for the students, and the College of Engineering provided an introductory course in the major. New orientation programs like these are more efficient than the previous ones that student councils of each college organized schedules to mainly promote a friendship between participants.
