Chonnam National University (CNU) held an orientation session for invited exchange students for the first semester of this year at Cosmos Hall in the College of Engineering 4 building on February 29. Around 165 students from 25 nations, including China, France, the U.S., Malaysia, and the Republic of Turkey, attended the orientation. It was organized to provide student life resources and information for new exchange students, such as guidance on the regulation of dormitories, an academic calendar, and a certificate of alien registration. The Office of International Affairs offers a Buddy Program that connects incoming exchange students with CNU students. It aims to enhance academic achievement and adaptation to university life by providing companionship and assistance to newcomers. Kotchloshvili Tekla (Exchange Student, Dept. of Political Science and International Relations, Georgia) praised the program and said, "Having friends to rely on while living in a foreign country is helpful. Supportive buddies are ready to help us in every situation, like helping with medical check-ups to get into the dormitory. It satisfied the needed feeling of security."
