The Chonnam National University (CNU) Press and Broadcasting Center hosted a media forum with local society, "Meeting a Man Who Heals the City: Kim Jang-ha," to commemorate the 70th anniversary of The Chondae Shinmun. During the event consisted of two parts, about 150 local residents, including CNU professors, students, and staff members, screened the documentary movie "A Man Who Heals the City" and had a conversation with Kim Hyun-ji, the director of the film, and journalist Kim Joo-wan, the main character of the film and the writer of the book about Kim Jang-ha, "If I Gave It to them, That's Enough."

In the film, Kim Joo-wan tracks Kim Jang-ha who seems to be an ordinary pharmacist, but is actually an extraordinary man who returned his whole fortune to this society, spending his whole life trying hard to make the society a better place. He was never interested in accumulating his own property but in lavishing with financial support in meaningful ways. This film lets the audience ponder over what a true adult is like by showing how Kim Jang-ha is dedicated to society and its people.

Ahn Hye-rin (Senior, Dept. of Communication) said, "Just like what the director said, I cried a lot, while watching the film, for no specific reason. Through this event, I considered deeply what a genuine adult is and how to grow as an adult myself."
