The "HEYDAY" candidates won the presidential election for the 2024 General Student Council (GSC) at Chonnam National University (CNU). The election was held online from 8:30 to 18:00 on Nov. 28. The voter turnout was 36.39 percent of the voting-eligible population. Lee Hong-gyu (Senior, Dept. of Sociology) and Kim Seung-a (Senior, Dept. of Forest Resources) have been elected as the president and vice president of the 2024 GSC respectively. They earned 3611 votes which represents 66.9 percent of the total votes including blank ballots. "I hope the new General Student Council listens to the students' voices actively and makes CNU a better campus," said Student Voter Bae Seo-hyeon (Junior, Dept. of Music Education).
