CNU kicked off its second session of the Oman-Gihaeng program, a short-term outbound opportunity for students who haven’t been overseas ever, or at least in the past decade. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) hosted the official commencement at the Small Assembly Hall in Student Union 1 on Nov. 29. Participating students attended, along with CNU president Jung Sungtaek and OIA staff members. A total of 160 students were selected to be a part of this winter’s Oman-Gihaeng, planning to travel to various countries to learn more about SDGs.
Ju In-ha (Freshman, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies) and Jeong Eun-jo (Freshman, Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies), students selected to present their project proposal at the event, shared their thoughts on the Oman-Gihaeng program. Ju In-ha said, “At first, I was unsure of our travel proposal and hadn’t taken this program this seriously. However, in the process of preparing for the program, I learned a lot and was able to gain a lot of confidence.”. Jeong Eun-jo added, “This is my first time traveling abroad, and I think it’s great to travel with a clear objective in mind”.
