The presidential elections for the 2024 General Student Council (GSC) of Chonnam National University (CNU) will take place online on Nov. 28. Lee Hong-gyu (Senior, Dept. of Sociology) and Kim Seung-a (Senior, Dept. of Forest Resources) completed their candidate registration to the Central Election Management Committee (CEMC). The “Heyday” presidential candidates for the next GSC will continue to conduct their election campaign until Nov. 27. Lee Hong-gyu said, "To create the heyday of students’ campus lives, we need the active participation and attention of our students.“ The voting will be held online from 8:30 to 18:00 next Tuesday. CEMC Chairperson Bong Hae-won (Junior, Dept. Of Polymer Science and Engineering) said, “Most of the last few elections had low voter turnouts. The voter turnout barely made it to 35 percent. The existence of the GSC certainly provides students with more diverse activities, so I encourage students to invest only one minute of their time to vote for one exciting year.”
