Chonnam National University hosted its 2023 Job Festa at Bongji on September 19. The university's Job Center organized the event jointly with on-campus departments, including the Office of International Affairs, BK21 Four, and LINC 3.0, and external agencies, including the Jeonnam Technopark. The venue consisted of six zones: a recruitment zone for recruitment explanations, a job consulting zone, a CNU “Hero Zone” where students could listen to the stories of senior incumbents, an on-site recruiting zone, a promoting zone, and an event zone. More than 60 corporations publicized themselves, provided recruitment information, and conducted on-site consultations to acquire excellent talent. Around 4,000 college students and local youth participated in the event to get information on jobs and careers.  

The event provided a great opportunity for all participants interested in employment and recruitment. A company staff member, running a booth in the recruitment zone, said, “Such a large-scale event gives both parties a great merit, which means students can get information that they need and companies can take the lead in promoting companies and securing talent.” Seo Yun-sang (Senior, Dept. of Anthropology) said, “There were various booths where I could get more detailed information than online announcements. In particular, it was good to hear direct and practical stories from the incumbent seniors, such as the actual preparation process.”
