On June 8, Chonnam National University (CNU) celebrated the 71st anniversary of its founding with a celebration ceremony. CNU President, CNU Alumni Association President, faculty, alumni and staff members attended the ceremony held at the University Auditorium, Minjumaru on Yongbong campus. At the anniversary ceremony, CNU announced a brief report about its current state of development and presented awards, including the Hugwang Academic Award, the Honorary Yongbong Grand Award, the Yongbong Academic Award, the Outstanding Researcher Award, the Faculty and Staff Excellence Award, and the Long-Term Service Award.
