Everything you do has a beginning and the start assigns you some obligations. However, you can naturally forget your duty, especially when you think it is something trivial. It lets you make the wrong choice when you decide something. So, l want you to remember the word “Responsibility” when you are at a crossroads.
    Let’s talk about group projects. If you ask students about their opinion on group projects, many will react negatively. Some might say that the word “group project” would increase their heart rate. Of course, some would share positive experiences of group projects. A team of responsible members share their roles reasonably and do their obligations according to their plans. But this is a rare case, and usually a group project is led by a small number of students. Other members do not do their assigned work because of various reasons such as being burned out by other work. What we want from those students is to simply complete their responsibility, we do not expect their best. It is okay to rest as long as you don’t quit. Even if you get tired from work, you should still try your best to complete your job so others do not suffer from your incomplete work.
    In the same manner, members of the community are faced with many duties, but those are essential as a part of society. Recently, there were many accidents that took the lives of innocent people. School violence and drunk driving are examples which are the results driven by the people not doing their obligation. Getting a driver’s license also means having a responsibility. If you fail to fulfill your duty, the result could be the sacrifice of an innocent life. A drunk driver could say that it was a mistake, but such irresponsible behavior must not be accepted. It is a huge disservice to others. If they fulfilled the obligation of not driving after drinking, there would be no victim. School violence, likewise, occurs when the students who are aggressors don’t follow their responsibilities as human beings. There’s a line people have to keep as responsible members of society. The world does not expect us to do something beyond our duties, we just have to live like a human being.
    The rules of doing one’s duty can be applied to other fields. There are so many inconveniences from neglected obligations. It ranges from something as trivial as not participating in a group project to taking someone’s life, which is a serious matter. No more harm is allowed. No matter what your situation is, at least do your duty for yourself and others.
