CNU members celebrate its cultural complex
CNU members celebrate its cultural complex "Storium" with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 25.

Chonnam National University (CNU) held an opening ceremony for its cultural complex "Storium" behind the Library Annex on April 25. Containing the history of CNU, it is expected to act as a space for communication and rest, a space for sharing culture and artworks, and a welfare facility for students. The name comes from a combination of “story” and “place” (arium). In his congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony, CNU President Jung Sungtaek said, “From our past history to our current students’ future stories, CNU holds so many different stories.” He added, “As small raindrops merge into a large river, I am excited to see everyone’s stories come together here at the Storium”. On the basement floor of the Storium, there is a cafe, an LED media art wall, and a history wall containing the historic timeline of CNU. Right by the entrance on the first floor, there are 52 books recommended by the university which have been put on display, as well as a digital guestbook where visitors can leave their own book recommendations. The second floor showcases media art, currently home to a digital media exhibit by students from the Department of Design.
