On May 14, around 1,050 university students from  all over the country explored the walking trail called “CNU Democracy Road” to  commemorate the memory of the May 18 Gwangju Uprising and to inherit the spirit of May 18. With the concept of a historical and cultural park, the trail consists of three roads; the Road of Justice, the Road of Human Rights, and the Road of Peace, connecting memorial places and monuments related to May 18 and the patriotic martyrs for democracy on Yongbong campus. Kim Guen-seong (Senior, Dept. of Political Science and Diplomacy, Kyungpook National University) said, “I appreciate CNU for its dedication to Korea’s democracy. I think it is meaningful for me to keep thinking about the Gwangju Uprising and convey this spirit of May 18 to people in Daegu. Also, I would like to contribute to spreading this spirit.”
