Water Saving Measures have been implemented to overcome the drought crisis in Gwangju. The water storage capacity of the Dongbok Dam and the Juam Dam, Gwangju's main water sources, have gradually decreased and may run out at the end of March and by May respectively, if we do not reduce the amount of water in our daily lives. Along with the Gwangju citizen's water conservation movement, CNU encourages its members to participate in water conservation. Students can save up to 40 percent of the water they would usually use by making an effort to reduce water use on a daily basis, such as reducing shower time by half, washing laundry all at once, and using a cup while brushing their teeth.
