International and Korean students enjoyed cultural exchange activities and food from different countries at a venue to celebrate the 2022 International Day of CNU on November 17. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) organized the event in collaboration with the Language Education Center (LEC) with the purpose of creating a space for students at the university to learn about other nations via cuisine and cultural exchange. The occasion took place in front of the  University Auditorium called Minjumaru and the Yongbong Building.

President Lee Gyu-min (Junior, Dept. of Public Administration), who is the president of CNU International Student Supporters at the OIA, said, “The 2022 International Day festivity aims to promote mutual understanding of each country by providing a venue to share various cultural experiences with students from different nationalities.”

At the festival, international students joined a Korean Speaking Competition hosted by the LEC. Various booths were also operated by student volunteers: There were 11 food booths and 12 booths for cultural experiences such as the chance to participate in traditional activities. Chryssa Kokkinou (Exchange Students, Dept. of Political Science and International Relation, Greece) said, “My favorite booth was Japanese cuisine because it was the furthest from my home country. Looking around and experiencing different cultures were really fun.”
