Chonnam National University (CNU) organized a venue to share the achievements of university-industry cooperation with local companies and residents from Nov. 8 to 10. The 2022 Tech Fair was held for the first time in three years at Yongji Hall since tech fairs over the past two years were held on metaverse platforms due to COVID-19. The CNU R&BD Foundation offered a variety of activities to attendees of the Tech Fair, including making AI business cards, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality experiences and drone flying. For job-seeking students, customized consulting, employment lectures, and counseling with companies were also provided to strengthen their employment capabilities. At the venue, the LINC 3.0 Business Center operated its booth and displayed a VR game called “Dead Hospital” that an undergraduate student developed with support from the center. Yoo Seung-hyun (Junior, Dept. of Industrial Engineering) who is the game developer said, “I attended the summer session of LINC 3.0 last time and managed to make a game, thankfully my game could be introduced at this fair. Other students have developed a lot more fun games, so I hope we can have more opportunities like this whereby students can showcase their results frequently.” Fair visitor Shania Josma (Exchange Student, Dept. of Psychology, Indonesia) said, “I had a lot of fun. Many foreign students other than me came to see this fair and were amazed by how the Tech Fair could be this fun and also productive about their results.”
