CNU presented a prize to professors for best practices for remote learning on July 24. Its aim was to offer practices and tips from the award-winning faculty for professors to make their online courses successful, improve the quality of distance learning and satisfy the students under COVID-19 conditions. The award-winning best practices in online courses were selected based on a students’ survey and departments’ recommendations among the classes of the first semester in 2020; 1,163 students participated in the survey and 13 colleges recommended 41 courses, and the university picked the best cases in three fields according to the evaluation criteria such as course designs, content, interaction with students, and assessment methods. President Jeong Byung-seok said, “Since CNU has many educational pioneers under the new normal of the ‘untact era’, we expect quality improvements in distance learning at our university.” He also mentioned that CNU will endeavor to make the fall semester’s blended courses systematic and improve the quality of education.
