▲ Many students listen to a song at Street Karaoke Competition during the CNU festival on September 24.

2019 CNU festival “CNU Festa” was held for three days from September 24 to 26 on Yongbong campus. A variety of programs managed by the Central Operation Committee comprised of student council presidents in colleges lead students’ participation in those activities. Diverse food stands were established around East Gate temporarily during the festival period. Compared to last year’s festival, newly introduced programs such as ‘Street Karaoke’ and ‘Visible Radio’ attracted a lot of attention from students and local residents. Especially the ‘Street Karaoke’ program provided places for talented students, as well as places for students to vote for the participants they liked the most. Festival participants enjoyed celebrities’ performances and got on the amusement rides. Hwang Seo-hyun (Freshman, Dept. of Korean Language and Literature) said, “What I am looking forward to most in this festival is the performance of a guest singer. I plan to go on the rides as well.” She also expressed her complaint about the festival that the food stands were too far from Bongji, where most programs were held.
