CNU operates an urban agriculture program organized by the Institute for Agricultural Practice Education. The program aims to integrate international students, faculties and staff members, offering lectures on gardening and farming, and also parceling out college-owned lands. After the program operated on April 28, one of participants, Zhang Kaimeng (Freshman, Dept. of Statistics, China) said, “Both of my parents are highly interested in agriculture. I felt nostalgic taking part in this program. It is also such a delightful experience to learn deeply about agriculture from experts.” Since starting their first session last March, the institute has continued the program every other week. Director Han Tae-ho said “We design this program to help international students to feel more involved. That is the reason why we decided to give internationals priority with the adoption of the college properties.” CNU is encouraging qualified internationals and school faculties to join the program.
