Celebrating Chonnam National University’s 64th Anniversary this year, the 2016 CNU Honorable Alumni Awards have been presented to Kim Byeong-won, chairman of National Agricultural Cooperatives Federation (NACF), and Choi Yeong-jun, president of Gwangju MBC. CNU awarded Chairman Kim for doing honor to the university by contributing to NACF on the basis of his broad experience in agricultural cooperatives and outstanding insight throughout the business. CNU also selected President Choi as the prize winner by recognizing his devotion to the development of local community during the May 18 Democratization Movement in which he took part as the student council president of the College of Engineering, and currently being a member of board of directors of Gwangju YMCA. The 2016 Honorable Alumni Awards ceremony took place at CNU Minjumaru (old CNU Auditorium) on June 8, 2016.
