3·29 학생총회 개최

On March 29, the General Student Council (GSC) of CNU held a Students’ General Assembly at Bongji on Yongbong campus. 2,068 students attended, which is more than 1/10 of total number of students at CNU. Three agendas were passed by the students who participated. Each agenda was closely related to student’s campus life. The GSC mainly focused on a direct presidential election. The President of the GSC said, “If we want to realize the direct presidential election, we have to insist upon the student’s right to vote.” However, a lot of students left the assembly as soon as it began. Lee Sun-mi (Senior, Faculty of Earth Systems and Environment Sciences) said, “The number of students who left started to decrease as the session went on, and more and more students paid attention to the assembly’s proposed agendas.” At the assembly, the GSC announced their plans and also gathered student’s opinions about the proposals. A lot of students raised their hands and showed their own opinions.
