CNU students have carried out international help and love for the last five years. Since 2011, an international volunteering program successfully accomplished its purpose to help local residents to have better living circumstances and to enhance the growth of local communities in underdeveloped countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. 13 of the students and one staff member participated in this year’s program to Laos from July 16th to 31st. The volunteering team members delivered agricultural labor services and educational services such as teaching computer and English, and spread Korean traditional culture to the local people. They encouraged friendly relations between the Laos and Korea. Choi Jeong-gi, the Dean of Student Affairs said, “Volunteering will offer students the opportunities to gain an understanding of the world and to cultivate a sharing mind while discovering a global mind. We will reinforce the program with more beneficial activities to encourage more students to participate in it.”
