I am sorry to hear about the accident because I was once in service. It is true there are military absurdities such as doing laundry for senior soldiers or running on personal errands. Actually, a vertical relationship is needed in the military since it can make soldiers tighten up the discipline. The accident about Private Yoon, however, shows the negative aspects of the military absurdity and violence. Senior soldiers abused their power of position, and then pushed Private Yoon into death. The bigger problem is that Private Yoon could not get help from anyone in the Army. The military authorities have to investigate the cause of the accident thoroughly and the Government has to reform the military system lest it happen again.
