2013 CNU Rolling Admission Results

Chonnam National University (CNU)’s application deadline for the 2013 Rolling Admissions last September 11, 2012 garnered a competition rate was 5.48 to 1, lower than the 7.11 to 1 rate last year. CNU received applications from September 6th to 11th through the internet and 15,063 hopefuls applied. Early entrance to the university required excellent academic record, qualification in the admission exam, being part of farming and fishing community, being officially recognized as a disabled person amongst others. Among them, 626 students with excellent qualifications will be picked to be considered as an admission model. Student who applied under the excellent academic record reached 11,048 and students who applied under special qualifications such as foreign language ability reached 1966 applicants with a competition rate of 6.87 to 1. Based on excellent school records, the Department of Bio-systems Engineering and Local Systems Engineering had the highest competition rates among all majors reaching a whopping 10.2 to 1 competition rate. The premedical course, on the other hand, had 393 applicants. Meanwhile, CNU lowered 10.9% of its rolling admission charge from 55,000 Won to 49,000 Won to lighten the financial burden of the examinee and their parents. Applicants in the basic livelihood bracket, social integration recipient bracket and disabled students got full exemption of the charge.
