This voluntary service program was designed by the Cooperation Agreement between CNUSD and Health Sciences University in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The voluntary dental service team treated more than 350 Mongolian patients at the Health Sciences University for three days. On August 13th and 14th, CNUSD’s professors also held a workshop on dental implant and a training program about hand-on course for Mongolian dentists. After the workshop and training education, Mongolian dentists organized Mongolian Academy of Osseointegration and had the first general meeting. Bang Mong-suk, professor of CNUSD, who was one of the voluntary service team, said, “The healthcare environments in Mongolia were poor. We treated many patients every day but, there was a limit to care everyone. It’s a pitiful situation. If we get a chance, we want to go there again.” In addition to Mongolia, the CNUSD’s team volunteered in India and Cambodia to improve medical technology in that places during this summer vacation.
