Useful Expression for Smooth-talking in English Interview

This column will show you useful expressions for an English job interview. While interviewing, sometimes we can’t follow the conversation. You may use these phrases when you are faced with situations below. These phrases are helpful to build your smooth-talking skill in English.
● Situation #1: If you could not hear the questions, you can say like this.
“Sorry, could you repeat the question?” or “Pardon me?”
● Situation #2: If you want a more detailed explanation of the question, you may ask like this.
“Sorry, I could not understand you. Could you please explain it to me again?”
● Situation #3: If you have a fit of coughing, because of nervousness, you may say like this.
“Pardon me.” Or “Excuse me.”
● Situation #4: If you cannot answer the question, honesty is the best policy.
“I am not sure about that.” Or “I do not really know about that.”
● Situation #5: Finally your interview is over, leave saying this.
