 Nowadays, many people like to drink coffee. Want to know how to make a great cup? A Tribune reporter interviewed a barista, an expert in coffee, and got some information about hand-drip coffee, a great method for making a delicious cup of this tasty beverage. The barista educates people at the Lifelong Education Center of CNU and runs a franchise coffee shop.


What is Hand-drip Coffee?
 You need a few things: a grinder, a dripper, a server, filter paper and a coffee pot to brew hand-drip coffee. To make hand-drip coffee, you need to grind freshly roasted coffee beans and pour hot water over them. When you pour the water, you should do it little by little. The water absorbs oil and the essence of coffee as it passes through the coffee beans. Hand-drip coffee is brewed slowly for about three minutes and it can have various flavors.



How to Make Hand-drip Coffee
1. Grind coffee beans by using a hand mill or a grinder. You can also buy ground coffee beans but for the best cup, it is better to grind coffee beans yourself right before you start brewing.


2. Put the dripper on the drip server and put a filter paper in the dripper. Pour the proper amount of ground coffee beans into the dripper.


3. Add water little by little, a few drops at a time, with a coffee pot. Each time you add water, you need to wait for about 25 seconds. This is called wetting and helps release the full flavor of the bean. Brew coffee and wait until the appropriate amount of coffee is gathered in the server.


4. Fill a cup with the coffee and enjoy!
