Broaden Your Horizon with Chonnam Tribune

Park Young-seung, Junior, Dept. of Biotechnology

Among the articles in the March issue, Dr. John Clemens’ interview for his activity as the Director of the International Vaccine Institute was impressive. From the story of his experience to improve health conditions in the developing countries, I felt a sense of duty for humanity and found a possible way to make use of my major-related experience. His advice, “Don’t lose your idealism!” has also stayed with me all the time after reading the article.
Meanwhile, I was surprised at how the reporter interviewed Dr. John Clemens and simultaneously I was very proud of the reporter. As a devoted reader of Chonnam Tribune this article gave me some motivation and made me think about various topics. It also provides me with valuable information and indirect experiences. If you want to broaden your horizon, Chonnam Tribune will be the best choice! It is getting warmer, but I can see peaceful faces on campus. I think it is a proper time to read Chonnam Tribune.

Thank You, My Friend!

Kim Si-yeon, Junior, Dept. of English Language & Literature

This was the first time I read Chonnam Tribune. My friend, a Tribune reporter, recommended the magazine to me. At first, I thought it is difficult and requires a lot of time to read an English magazine. However, as I read the articles of March issue one at a time, I found a new world unfamiliar to me, and then I was unconscious of the flight of time. All the articles were interesting and valuable for me. They made me know about campus news and opinions of other people.
Particularly, the topic of Howdy, CNUians? was the most interesting. This article reminded me of the time when I was a freshman, and made me plan and determine how I should spend the remainder of my time at university. Taking this opportunity, I will read this magazine whenever a new edition is published in order to know recent news and improve my English proficiency. In addition, I would like to share this good magazine with my friends as my friend did. I deeply appreciate your good articles and hope that Chonnam Tribune gets to become a more brilliant magazine.

Chonnam Tribune Changes My Life

By Chou Seong-hyeok, Senior, Dept. of Business Administration

At the moment that I have to do something for my future and prepare to go forth into the world after graduation, one of articles published in last Chonnam Tribune has offered me an opportunity to think about what I should do for the rest of my university life. The article entitled Cover Story described volunteer service and encouraged me to join ‘Human School’, a club composed of CNU students who want to do volunteer work abroad.
Like this, I am of the opinion that Chonnam Tribune, published by the enthusiastic and talented student editors, might provide you with not only a helpful time that might change the rest of your university life, but also the useful and well-organized English articles. I would recommend you, especially my English club BBC members who have just started to learn English conversation, to read this awesome magazine at least once for a higher level of English. Moreover, through it they might have a chance to find out what they really need for their future.
