The Language Education Center at Chonnam National University has offered Korean language intensive courses to U. S. college and university students for eight years in a row. The 21 students, who was selected for a Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) program supported by the U.S. government, have opportunities to learn Korean language and culture intensively both inside and outside the classroom from June  23 to August 16. The institute also provides a one-on-one language partner program to create an immersive learning environment that the CLS student can quickly improve thier Korean language skills during the eight-weeks in Gwangju, Korea.
