CNU hosted a cultural festival to celebrate its 2021 International Day for foreign students on Nov. 24. It aimed to encourage international and Korean students to understand their cultures through enjoying traditional food and games. The festival, organized by the Office of International Affairs and the International Student Association, was divided into five zones: food, experience, game, sharing and harmony. Attendees experienced a variety of activities such as making Chinese tanghulu, Indian milk tea and lemon tea, and playing Korean slap-match and red light and green light game. Choi Jae-won (Junior, Faculty of Business Administration) said, “I thought I could only experience cultures of foreign countries, but it was fun to play traditional Korean games that I had forgotten after a long time. However, unfortunately the festival appeared to be very much inspired by Squid Game.” It was carried out in compliance with social distancing rules and standards for entrance, so fully vaccinated students completed 14 days after second vaccination could attend the event. People who had been not fully-vaccinated but had PCR negative confirmation issued within 48 hours were allowed to enter the event.
