Jung Sungtaek, professor of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, was officially inaugurated as the 21st President of Chonnam National University (CNU). Towards the end of last year, the CNU President Candidate Recommendation Committee recommended him as the 1st nominee for CNU’s 21st President to the Ministry Of Education. On January 15, 2021, he was appointed by the President of the Republic of Korea. President Jung has started his four-year presidential term that day. As the president's term is four years, his term will end on January 13, 2025.
