2019 총학의 부재

Students’ perception toward the General Student Council (GSC) caused a low turnout of voters in the election for the 2019 GSC. Even though the 2018 GSC members struggled to solve problems on campus, their activities and efforts did not reach many students. Therefore, students might have thought they did not need the GSC last year. I hope the future GSC have more concerns for student welfare. Looking back at last year, the GSC worked more on memorable events rather than student welfare-related programs. Keeping election pledges is not the best measure to solve student-related problems on campus. The best way is to continuously listen to students’ opinions on improving their welfare.
