    2018 CNU International Summer Session (ISS) was successfully held from June 28 to July 23. With 131 foreign students attending from 41 universities worldwide, CNU students could obtain the opportunity to take the lectures of renowned professors in various majors. 41 Korean students attending the ISS also participated in a buddy program so that their foreign buddies could fully enjoy their four weeks in Gwangju. One of the foreign students who attended the ISS, Aedo Medina Francisca Gabriela (Psychology, Finis Terrae University, Chile) said, “I have shown interest in Korean culture since I was young, and that was why I tried my best to attend this session to know more about Korea.“ Moon Ki-seok, Dean for International Affairs, stated that the ISS would further provide students with opportunities to experience the distinctive culture of the local community, eventually promoting local culture and the advantages of studying in Gwangju.
