I think a TOEIC score should not be accepted as a grade for the Global Communication English class. If this class were to accept a TOEIC score as a grade, the objective of the course might be lost. The majority of students would rather take the TOEIC test than the course’s examination and in time, the evaluation system of the class might change to just having the TOEIC score. Another crucial point is that students who take the course receive a grade and then graduate. If this change were to happen, then there will be students who feel burdened by the fact that they have to pay a fee of about 40,000 won to take the TOEIC test and then get their grade.
