A public hearing of candidates for the 2018 General Student Council (GSC) took place on November 16, at 3 P.M., in front of the Student Union Building #1. Two teams, each consisting of one GSC president candidate and his running mate, Hwang Beob-ryang (Junior, Faculty of Economics) and Kim Nam-su (Sophomore, Dept. of Philosophy), Choi Do-Hyeong (Senior, Dept. of Political Science and International Relations) and Yu Yeong-Jae (Junior, Dept. of Chemistry) answered questions from four press representative questioners, in the sequence of Yongbong, the Chonnam Tribune, Chonnam National Univeristy Broadcasting System, The Chondae Shinmun. CNU students and authorities, in addition, got together during the hearing and asked the candidates about their policies and fundamental reasons that brought them to the election campaigns. During an hour of time, the candidates were questioned individually from the presses and audiences and they asked each other’s policies and its effectiveness. Furthermore, they had their own chances to show off their core policies and wills to the public. The elections for the 2018 GSC) will be held on November 21, 2017.
