The elections for the 2018 General Student Council (GSC) at CNU will be held on November 21, 2017. The Central Election Management Committee confirmed the candidates for the 2018 General Student Council President and Vice President as of November 5, 2017. Hwang Beob-ryang (Junior, Faculty of Economics) and Kim Nam-su (Sophomore, Dept. of Philosophy), Choi Do-Hyeong (Senior, Dept. of Political Science and International Relations) and Yu Yeong-Jae (Junior, Dept. of Chemistry) registered as the candidates for the 2018 GSC President and Vice President. “Emphasizing necessities for the upcoming election could might lead to a successful election result,” said Moon Dae-woong (Sophomore, School of Mechanical Systems Engineering). There is no GSC this year because the previous elections had not been done successfully due to various different reasons. Many students said that CNU students should have deep attentions and interests in this upcoming election. The candidates started the election campaigns on November 6 around Yongbong and Hakdong campuses. The counting of votes for the election will take place at 6 p.m. on November 22.
