전남대, 2017 진로진학 체험 박람회 개최
On June 2 to 3, a total of 17,918 students, teachers and parents visited the 2017 College and Career Fair at Chonnam National University (CNU). High school and middle school students, mostly from Jeonnam and Gwangju, visited the fair to get information about their future majors and college life, and to have career guidance and psychological counseling. The response was fairly positive for the fair and many participants said that they were satisfied with the programs of the event. Go Min-kyeoung, a second grade student at Buyeong Girls’ High School in Yeosu said, “It was interesting to know that there were so many majors. It was nice to have more detailed information about college majors at each department booth.” Yoon Jin-yong, a teacher at Daesung Girls’ High School in Gwangju, said, “It is hard for students to actually have their future plan just by texts in a guidebook. They cannot really understand different majors just by the name of the major. So we participated in this program, which gave students opportunities to have direct experiences.”
The Fair Director Ryu Yoon-hee, a staff of the Office of Admission at CNU said, “After visiting the fair, many high school students said that they want to enter CNU. I think that students get interest in our school through this on-campus program.” The fair was co-arranged by CNU, Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education and Jeollanamdo Office of Education in order to give middle and high school students an opportunity to learn about different majors and university life.
