The reelection for the 49th General Student Council (GSC) and General Female Student Council (GFSC) at CNU were cancelled again due to low voting rates. The voting rate for the GSC and the GFSC reelection turned out to be 42.17% and 41.71% respectively. Some incidents made the reelection well-known at the university, but at the same time they also caused many students to consider the councils unreliable. Three presidential candidates and their running mates registered for the GSC and two for the GFSC originally. It turned out, however, that some students at the two election headquarters for the GSC and the GFSC had connections with a certain religious group which is not favored by most CNU students. It resulted in the resignation of the two candidates. It is anticipated that the Central Management Committee will continue to be in charge of overall issues on campus this year, since a specific schedule for the next reelection has not been discussed yet.
