I am majoring in business administration. When I heard that the 49th General Student Council (GSC) had not been formed, it reminded me of the vacancy in the Student Council for the College of Business Administration (SCBA) last year. I felt sorry about this because the college students did not have a student council to strive to improve their welfare and convenience. Fortunately, the Emergency Measures Committee (EMC) played a role in protecting our rights instead of the SCBA. However, we need a student council which cares about students' convenience, not a temporary student organization like the EMC. The role of student councils is very important, and students need to have interest in the GSC election and activities.
