CNU held the 65th first graduation ceremony at Minjumaru on February 24. A total of 4,050 graduates received their degrees: 3,107 Bachelor’s, 893 Master’s, and 150 Doctoral degrees. Notably, in this ceremony Martyr Yun Han-bong received his honorary bachelor’s degree. He majored in animal science from 1971 and got expelled after being arrested for his involvement with the National Federation of Democratic Youth and Student affair. In the farewell speech President Chung Byung-seok emphasized that adaptability to rapid change will be the criteria for a good leader in this era. President Chung added, “It will be difficult to keep up with the changes. However, these changes will be possibilities to take new steps forward if you stay enlightened.” CNU alumni enjoyed bright feelings after devoting themselves to their studies and finally achieving their academic goals.
