On December 6, a crowd of professors, students and residents in the area came to listen to Professor Choi Jin-seuk’s lecture about humanities studies that includes philosophy, history, language, literature and so on at Minjumaru. Professor Choi is a distinguished professor of philosophy at Sogang University, Seoul, and also a star lecturer in an EBS show in respect of humanities studies. With the hope of restoring the popularization of the study of humanities and broadening audiences’ knowledge and understanding of the humanities matter, he delivered an amusing and insightful lecture that attracted almost 900 attendants. The lecture focused on philosophy of humanities and analyzed the components that make up human emotions, actions and so on. The event was organized by the Initiative for COllege of Humanities’ Research and Education to celebrate the opening of Minjumaru at Chonnam National University.
