2016 한 책 토론회 성료

     Chonnam National University (CNU) hosted an annual one book panel discussion at the audiovisual room of CNU Library on November 29. As part of 2016 Gwangju and Jeonnam Read and Talk (GJRT) program, this event drew more than 200 Gwangju and Jeollanam-do residents. Kim Geun-ho, professor of Department of Korean Education, moderated the discussion with panel members selected from different age groups in their twenties and forties. The panels and participants discussed Kim Hun’s While Making Ramen Noodles, this year’s book for the GJRT. During the discussion, they shared their thoughts and feelings after reading the book and talked about four topics: my own recipe for ramen, honbab and honsul (eating and drinking by oneself) culture, the social function of good writing, and the meaning of nation that is the topic related to the Sewol ferry disaster. This marks the 4th for the GJRT, which is intended to promote CNU students and local residents to read and discuss books as One Book, One Community campaign.
