The CNU Central Election Management Commission (CEMC) hosted a public hearing on the election promises of the candidates for the 2017 General Students Council (GCS) on November 18th in front of the Student Union I building. Na Hyun-jo (Sophomore, Department of Ethics Education) and Jeong Gang-hyeon (Junior, School of Chemical engineering), and Lee Myeong-no (Sophomore, Faculty of Earth Systems and Environmental Sciences) and Choi Dong-hyeok (Sophomore, Department of Ethics Education) as the candidates for the 49th GSC President and Vice President attend the hearing. As panel members, three student reporters from CNU collegiate media - The Cheondaeshinmun, CNU Broadcasting, the Chonnam Tribune, and Yongbong - attended the hearing to discuss the election promises. However, a few students showed up for the public hearing due to a lack of preparation and publicity of the CEMC. The GSC election will take place on November 21.
