The General Student Council of Chonnam National University (CNU) hosted 2015 Yongbong Daedong Festival from September 22nd to 24th. The main title of this festival was ‘Oh-Rak (Oh, Enjoy Yourself)’. It aimed to stay away from worries including employment and military, and have fun at the time of the festival. Students showed their talents in a variety of programs such as Yongbong Song Contest, CNUians’ Talent Show, Finding CNU Armstrong, Five-on-Five Futsal Competition and Cooking Contest. Gilnori, a welcoming parade, on the street was quite a good road performance to cheer up the festival. All over the campus during the night student pubs “Jumak” attract students and local residents. Some invited singers DICKPUNKS, Daybreak and Romantic Punch performed on the main stage at Bongji and heightened the festive mood. Despite low participation because of the rain on the second day, the festival came to an end with delight and fireworks. Kim Seong-hwan (Sophomore, School of Economics) said, “It was the second time I spend the annual festival. The cooking contest was interesting to see. Even if I did not enter the contest, I enjoyed it together.”
