Chonnam National University Museum of History contains spelling mistakes and word omissions on signboards. There is the word ‘National’ missing from the signboard hanging over the entrance of the museum. Chonnam National University Democracy Memorial Cube in the building also contains a sign marked ’Chonam’ instead of ’Chonnam.’ A visitor has noticed the typographical errors said that the university should correct the spelling errors immediately. Museum staff said, “We found the errors and we are waiting for the final order from the university administration.” Chonnam National University opened the museum to commemorate its 60th anniversary three years ago. However, the university did not care about spelling check in the place and just the space opened for common people. It consists of two floors; the first floor of the museum is the Democracy Memorial Hall for the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising. The second floor provides photos and history of our university.
