On 26th April, Vietnamese students studying at CNU organized a celebration show marking the 40-year anniversary of the South and the North of Vietnam union after the American war and International Labor Day. The ceremony took place at Student Union 1 Building and attracted over 200 participants.

    Honored guests invited over are Mr. Nguyen Viet Phong, Executive member of Vietnamese Community in Korea, Vice-President of Vietnamese Students Community in Korea, President of Vietnamese Community in Gwangju-Jeonnam, Lecturer at Chodang University; Mr. Truong Phi Hung & Mrs. Nguyen Thi Le Hoa, Vice-President of Vietnamese Community in Gwangju-Jeonnam. Along with them were many distinguished Korean guests, hundreds of Vietnamese students, families and international friends.

    The ceremony received positive feedback and praises thanks to art performances from students of Chonnam National University, Dongshin University, Chodang University, Kokuryo University, Choson University, etc. and other Vietnamese in Gwangju and Jeollanamdo. This was an opportunity where many Vietnamese students showcasing their talents to celebrate such a special national day. The audiences were amazed by various acts ranging from singing traditional Vietnamese songs, putting up a play telling the Vietnamese War back in the time, performing contemporary dance, traditional dance with silk, etc. Moreover, a dynamic game show for the audiences brought a fun spark to the hall. 
   
The ceremony came to an end with a buffet party full of pizza, traditional fried chicken, different fruits and soft drinks. The show overall has strengthened the bonding within the Vietnamese community in the area.
