호남 고속철도 개통에 대한 의견

In early February the Government decided the new route for the Honam High Speed Railway without stopping by Daejeon. In my opinion, the new railway should go directly from Gwangju to Seoul rather than not passing through Daejeon because it is built to reduce the journey times between Honam and Seoul. If the line should go via Seodaejeon Station, it will take about an extra 45 minutes than by going straight to Seoul. Furthermore, the railway is considered one of the policies for the balanced regional development. It will reduce regional disparity and help the development of the Honam region. However, the decision is still controversial because only 68 of 82 rides will be available on the new railway. We must not cloud the issue with regionalism. Instead of that, we have to judge this matter objectively.
