The University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa made a student exchange agreement with Chonnam National University (CNU) on April 19th, 2011. Two qualified students who have TOEFL scores over 79 will get an opportunity to study at UH from August to December, 2015. Exchange students need to pay their tuition to CNU, but they are exempt from paying tuition to the other agreed upon university. If you want to go, keep a close eye on the website of the Office of International Affairs. The University at Manoa was founded in 1907 as a land grant college of agriculture and mechanical arts and later renamed as the University of Hawaii in 1920. UH at Manoa is the largest and has the longest history and a beautiful campus among the 10 Hawaiian campuses. It has six colleges, nine schools and graduate schools. Geology, Marine Studies, East Asian Languages and Literatures are famous because of the geographical advantages. Also it has a Center for Korean Studies which is the oldest and biggest Korean studies institution outside Korea.
