▲ The candidates for the 47th President and Vice President in the 2014 GSC election are campaigning on campus on November 13th, 2014.

The election for 2015 General Student Council (GSC) and General Female Student Council (GFSC) at CNU will be held on November 25th, 2014. Kim Han-seong (Senior, Dept. of Geography) and Jeong Sang-yeup (Senior, Faculty of Earth Systems and Environmental Sciences) registered as the candidates for the 47th President and Vice President in the 2014 GSC election. They started the election campaign on November 10th. Many students seemed not to be interested in the election because there are no other candidates to compete each other but the sole candidate in this presidential and vice presidential election. One of the students from the College of Education who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that she did not know much about the GSC election because she never saw the candidates being active on campus. She said, “I personally do not have faith in the candidates because there is not much information about them. The election pledge is the only thing students know about them and it is not persuasive enough to vote for them.” In order to win the GSC election, the candidates need over 50% of the total turnout. The Central Election Management Committee confirms the candidates for the 47th GFSC President and Vice President as of November 14th, 2014.
