CNU celebrated its International Day on October 8th, 2014. This event featured several booths around Bongji such as Korean traditional woodcraft and game experience, international food from 14 countries and a flea market. About 1500 international and Korean students experienced diverse activities such as making Korean traditional wooden crafts, taking pictures while wearing hanbok, or enjoying international cuisine. Sebastien (Exchange Student, School of Business Administration) from France said “Thanks for the booth, I wore hanbok and took some pictures with my friend. It was a really great time for me.” Especially, the traditional cuisine booths were popular during the whole day. Donetien, a Rwandan student invited by the Korean Government, said “I am pleased to show my country’s traditional food to many students and I also ate many foods from diverse cultures here.” And, Deschanne Bellamy (Exchange Student, School of Business Administration) said, “This event provides good opportunities for every student at the university. I enjoyed varieties of cuisine from different countries and Korean traditional culture.” The international event deepened our understanding of different cultures of the world.
