Actually, I am not a devoted reader of this magazine because I do not speak English very well. Most students think that reading an English magazine is not easy and it was hard for me, too. It was my first time reading this magazine in this semester. The Chonnam Tribune, however, made reminded me of my campus life and changed my mind.
There were some interesting articles to read and the puzzle was quite fun. I liked the cover story of the last issue about social dining. I obtained useful information on one of the current cultural trends and had a good opportunity to get to know what social dining is. Also, it was very impressive that the global campus introduced famous food from many countries around the world. I could tell the magazine tried to reflect recent social issues in its articles. It would be better if I had known about the magazine in my first year.
However, I thought it has a limited circulation and only a small number of students can access the Tribune magazine. In addition, Tribune members’ a lack of publicity for the magazine causes a small readership. If many students read the Tribune magazine, it would have a positive influence on them because it has good articles that would give them a variety of information on events and programs provided by our university. So, the Tribune needs to promote itself to CNU students. With more public relation activities, the Chonnam Tribune will be able to increase the number of readers and have better relationships with them. I will definitely recommend the magazine to Freshmen and Sophomores. It is a great honor to write down my opinions and I am looking forward to the next issue.
